What Are Captions?
Captions are subtitles on YouTube videos that are automatically generated. This means they are not produced by a human and are therefore a ‘rough guide’ to the audio you hear. Although they are not perfect, they can help viewers – especially those with hearing difficulties – catch the main ideas of a video.
Enable and Translate Captions
The video below will walk you through the process of turning on auto-captions as well as translating them into other languages.
Did you try it out? How did it go? Do you have an additional idea? Add your ideas for making videos more accessible for all learners in the comments section below or share in our Facebook group.
