Description
Looking for Peter Pan teaching resources? This is a ready-to-go Peter Pan summary with additional bonus activities. Use it as a low-prep sub plan, as an introduction to Peter Pan analysis, or even as you begin to look at Peter Pan quotes. Inside are teacher notes that can even help your students answer the question, ‘What is the main message of Peter Pan?’
This printable resource started out as a simple ZERO PREP 2-page task. Originally, students started by checking their comprehension of some key language. They then read a summary passage and chose the correct answers in the text. Finally, they watched the movie to check their responses.
As of October 2021, the updated version includes:
- 24 unique printable language cards
- instructions for at least 6 different ways you can use these cards for maximum bang for your buck
- activities that get students out of their seats and fully engaged
- a printable blank template so you – or your students – can produce language cards that match your students’ needs
- a blank comic strip template with ideas on how to use it to explore character, plot, theme etc.
I’ve used this with mixed ability classes, including SEN and EAL. Why? It focuses their attention while they’re watching and allows me to check their comprehension of the story.
Use this:
– at the end of a Peter Pan unit
– for a cover lesson
– after / before students tackle the original text
