Description
A reading passage for students to consider differences between the Middle Ages and the present day. Full lesson plan including pre-reading activities, how to present the text and post-reading stations to check comprehension.
Looking for resources to support your EAL learners in their study of the Middle Ages? Look no further! These resources have been tried-and-tested with a (very) mixed-ability class with great success. You can use the activities as alternative tasks in the mainstream classroom, or use as-is in the sheltered EAL classroom.
I searched far and wide for medieval themed materials I could use that weren’t ‘cutesy’ as I teach 6th and 7th grade. As such, the images and fonts are more suited to tweens / teens, though there’s no reason they wouldn’t appeal to younger learners – they got approval from my 9-year-old too!
Included in the pack:
- ARTICLE
- COMPREHENSION ACTIVITY STATIONS
- LINKS to additional (mostly) free resources
- EXTENSIVE TEACHING NOTES explaining how to use all the materials
- My ongoing support!
I am available via email or Zoom – just drop me a line.
