Description

Introduce your students to doomsday myths from around the world. This culturally-sustaining, engaging, and interactive lesson guides students through a learning experience like no other. They’ll be introduced to a variety of myths dealing with the end of the world aka Armageddon, Apocalypse, and eschatology. The lesson pack encourages students to consider alternative points of view in respectful ways before completing a research or creative writing task that allows them to connect to their own – or other – cultures.

Although this is only intended as an introductory lesson, there are enough materials, suggestions, and activities to keep your students busy learning for up to a week. This includes the following doomsday myths written for this resource: Zoroastrianism, Christianity, and Hinduism. These can be replaced with any myths of your choice.
